Job Description
Will be the focal point of contact for all NetApp support related hardware and software issues, including planning, implementation, configuration and administration.Network Appliance Data On tap/Hardware configuration (features such as sync mirror, etc) and 3rd level troubleshooting.Install/upgrade and maintain Netapp/Nseries Filers in an enterprise environment.Need to provide technical support on NetApp hardware in UNIX and Windows environments.Duties will include System monitoring, Daily health checks, Problem resolution, and Change management, Maintenance of support documentation and security, and Audit compliance.Must be NetApp or IBM Nseries Certified on their specific operating systems and Software with minimum 5 years of relevant experience (NCDA, NCIE, etc or equivalent Not the basic level certification).Have proven skills in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management for CIFS, NFS, and FCP for SCSI or iSCSI for TCP/IP protocols on a NetApp storage appliances.Implemented active-active controller configuration and SyncMirror to ensure continuous data availability and rapid recovery of data.Experience in SnapMirror, SnapRestore, and SnapVault products to manage and protect mission-critical data. In-depth experience and skills in NetApp installation/deployment and support.Netapp Filer volume Management, Snapmirror and Ontap Upgrades and Migrations.Storage allocation tasks include, deployment of a new host, creating qtrees, quotas, resizing and creating exports entries. Monitoring Storage space usage and automating alerts using DFM.Candidate is to have at least 5 years of experience of Data OnTap & NetApp storage with advanced skills in troubleshooting, designing and in-depth knowledge to handle 3rd level support.Linux /Unix Exposure.

Position Requirements:Data OnTap, MultiStore and sync snapmirroring, vfilers, Nearstore and Filers in HA active/active.Current ontap 7.2.4.HA cluster between sites at customer , model equivalent to fas900 series.UNIX platforms including Linux skills are needed for doing NAS related work.Need windows experience for CIFS part.Need Unix/Linux experience for NFS part- customer uses redhat Linux 3, 4 and 5 plus solaris.L3 Troubleshooting experience on Netapp - very important.Performance tuning experience:NAS experience during sun assignment.Storage System Design experience, confirm and emphasize.Business Continuity experience, confirm and emphasize.Scripting experience and should have strong background in scripting, perl and C and written code for DFM.Security implementation and emphasize.Access to Netapp support channels.Required Certifications:NetApp Certified Storage Associate (NACA).NetApp Certified Storage Professional (NACP).NetApp Certified Storage Expert (NACE).NetApp Certified Service Engineer (NASE).NetApp Certified Storage Architect (NASA).Experience: Minimum 5years of relevant Experience in NetappsEducational Qualification:3yrs of degree or Diploma in Computing or Information Technology is mandatory.Nationalities Preferred:American, Canadian, British, German, South African, Australian, Indian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Jordanian, Malaysian, Syrian, Brazilian, Hollanders, Pakistanis.
