Job Description
One of our client a leading petroleum company based in Dubai, looking for a System Administrator to work in a team managing and supporting a Windows 2003 environment with Terminal Services, Citrix, Systems Center, WSUS etc. The administrator will be responsible for various Windows Network Infrastructure related tasks. The administrator duties will include server installation and configuration (software and hardware); upgrades to Windows 2003 server operating systems; systems monitoring and troubleshooting; conducting routine hardware/software audits in accordance with established policies, procedures, configuration guidelines, and service level agreements. The SA shall also contribute to, update and maintain existing documentation. It also includes managing various Windows network services (IIS, ISA, WSUS etc). The administrator will provide second or third level support to Helpdesk staff or other administrators. REQUIRED SKILL SET IS MANDATORY • The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years experience performing Windows server configuration and administration in a sizeable network. • The candidate shall be proficient in Active Directory (2000/2003) and Group Policies. • The candidate shall possess a good knowledge of network principles, system troubleshooting and various operating system related tasks. • Experience in Active Directory is a must. • Knowledge of Cisco switches and routers is required. • The candidate must have knowledge of all aspects of running a Windows environment including DNS, DHCP, IIS, ISA, SUS, user/resource management and Windows Security. • The candidate shall be an MCSE (on Windows 2003). • The candidate should be aware of general information security principles and processes like antivirus, antispam etc., • The candidate should be a self-starter, self-motivated, proactive, team player and well spoken. • The candidate should be fluent in written and spoken English; Arabic will be an added advantage.
