Job Description
Experience with design engineering organizations or Refineries / Petrochemical companies. Substantial experience in plot plans, piping layouts, isometric drawings etc and drafting requirements. Work experience as designer or checker with a team of draftsmen. Experience on CAD packages for piping drawings viz. Microstation and PDS / SP 3 D. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, Equipment data sheets, Piping specifications etc. Ability to work in a team environment. Shall be capable of handling a team of draftsmen by providing guidance and other required inputs for the preparation of as-built drawings. Fluency in spoken and written English. Report to Project engineer, participate in the project review meetings and provide inputs to prepare monthly progress reports. Carry out assigned tasks, and produce deliverables competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints. Assign and monitor the tasks of subordinates such as draftsmen, and surveyors etc to ensure quality and schedule as per the project requirements. Review and approve assigned deliverables produced by other members of the team. Carryout the site visits to ensure the as-built status of the drawings. Observe and comply with all relevant HS&E requirements for the assigned project or projects.

Diploma (minimum 2 year course) in Draftsmanship in Mechanical trade with minimum 12 years of experience in preparation of piping general arrangement drawings, support drawings and other piping related drawings etc for refineries / Petrochemicals / Oil & Gas facilities.
