Job Description
One of the leading client in Dubai is looking for Manager Application Services.ONLY LOCALLY AVAILABLE CANDIDATES WILL BE PREFERRED.Accountable for the delivery of all IT projects and project outputs in accordance with the agreed baselines; responsible for ensuring that projects produce results that are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the Business Cases.Implement appropriate methodologies, standards and best practices in order to achieve the Organisations objectives.Graduate degree in Business or Management; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.

Must hold a Degree.Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.10-15 years of experience in strategic planning, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms.At least 5 years of experience in managing a complex technical infrastructure.At least 10 years experience of managing large teams (20-30).Experience in Oracle ERP (Financials, HRMS, Procurement & Projects), J2EE preferred.Demonstrated success in developing and implementing new technologies and work processes.Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship managementExperience of leading multi-discipline, high-performance work teamsDemonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex problemsDemonstrated high competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projectsExperience of managing a 24x7 mission critical environment.Extensive experience/expertise in directing large, complex application development/systems implementation projects and delivering projects within schedule and budget.Extensive experience/expertise in and knowledge of project management practices, including experience in controlling multiple projects within rigorous quality management standards (practitioner’s knowledge of PRINCE2 methodology, or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge, is necessary).Extensive experience in managing large project teams, including vendor staff and other contractors Ability to motivate staff to work effectively, under pressure, for protracted periods.Demonstrated high level of ability in preparing and presenting reports of a substantial nature to senior management level.Ability to consult, negotiate and report to management on a regular basis, including significant liaison with senior business management and senior executives.Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary management team, in accordance with defined quality management practices, to achieve common objectives.
